Katie Chew brings a rare mix of creative instinct, cultural curiosity, and producing know-how to her work as a film production and script consultant.

As far back as she can remember, Katie wanted to work in entertainment—not just to be part of the creative machine, but to help shape the larger cultural landscape.

With a dual master’s degree in film and television producing from NYU Tisch Graduate Film Program and NYU Stern Business School, and two Bachelor Degree’s one in English and the other Theater & Performance Studies from Georgetown University, Katie blends a creative spirit with sharp analytical skills. She considers herself an arbiter of taste—someone who seeks out media that is stimulating, affecting, and entertaining—and she uses that sensibility to support artists in telling their best stories.

Katie’s professional experience includes writing script coverage for potential projects, managing post-production admin tasks, and preparing weekly industry newsletters featuring entertainment news, local theater, and notable reads. She also coordinated travel and handled cost reporting for Secret Engine during the Sundance Film Festival, giving her a practical, behind-the-scenes understanding of the industry’s moving parts.

Whether consulting on scripts, consulting as a creative producer, or contributing thoughtful feedback no matter where you are in the film production process, Katie’s goal is always the same: to champion bold, compelling voices.
